Ageless Abyss is a short film created for the GEN:48 challenge, hosted by Runway.
Set in a forgotten dwelling beyond time, it follows an old man burdened by an accelerated aging process.
Haunted by memories and shadows of his past, he enters a temporal rift — not to escape time, but to understand it.
Created within 48 hours, this film explores the poetic tension between memory, aging, and longing.
I used a hybrid approach: cinematic staging and AI-generated elements blended to evoke a surreal atmosphere.
Runway’s tools allowed me to push the boundaries of what could be done in such a short time, both visually and narratively.
Ageless Abyss is a meditation on time, solitude, and resilience.
It represents a personal milestone: the fusion of visual storytelling and the potential of new creative technologies.
More than just a short film, it’s an invitation to pause and reflect on our own silent dialogues with time.
